Iowa Takes the Spotlight: It wasn't just Ashton Kutcher's new support of Iowa-based Dwolla that's been drawing attention this month, many more events have been reshaping our home state's technology landscape. The first week of April kicked off with a visit from United States CIO Steven VanRoekel visiting Startup City Des Moines for talks with local entrepreneurs. The next week led to the announcement of Kutcher investing into Dwolla, as news spread of Des Moines native Ben Silbermann's startup Pinterest becoming the 3rd largest social media platform behind Facebook & Twitter. TAI hosted its first TriTECHta on April 11-12th, which was capped off with the i2iowa Conference and a keynote speech from Scott Case, CEO of the Startup America Partnership. eDossea was honored to be 1 of 16 startups selected to present at the conference.

Brain Tumors Linked to Dental X-Rays? The news release of a recent Yale Professor's study, which was carried by Reuters, MSNBC, ABC and many other outlets raised much discussion from the dental community on the study's accuracy. While the debate is ongoing and radiation has been reduced in recent years, more validity has been brought to eliminating the need for retaking X-rays for referred patients, as they become more fearful. Dentists like Dr. Lee Ann Brady have found a need to respond to their new fears, as she explains on her Monday Blog Post.
